Monty L. Hipp: President and Founder

Monty, President and Founder of The C4 Group, has worked with youth full time for over 26 years. He holds a B.A. in Youth Development from Northwest University. Monty directly oversees all C4 initiatives, speaks to thousands of youth and adults annually around the world, and consults other organizations on nonprofit development. He is married to Renee and lives in the Washington, DC, metro area. For an expanded bio of Monty, please click here.

D. Gilson: Director, Communications and Donor Relations

D. serves as The C4 Group’s Communications and Donor Relations Director, including writing and editing C4 publications and program materials and communicating with and building C4’s donor base. He holds a B.S. in Professional Writing with a minor in Creative Writing from Missouri State University. He is currently working on his Master's in Creative Writing, emphasis poetry, and plans to go for a PhD in the same field, hoping to be a working writer and professor of creative writing. In his free time, he enjoys reading memoirs, trying exotic cuisines, writing for fun, and exploring downtown areas. He currently lives in Springfield, MO.

Nathan Mallonee: Coordinator, Grants and Projects

Nathan serves as The C4 Group's Coordinator for Grants and Projects, focusing on funding and consulting opportunities. He currently attends Missouri State University, where he is pursuing a B.S. in Marketing Research with a minor in Spanish. Nathan is a member of the school’s Honor’s College, and he was also recently inducted into the business honor society Beta Gamma Sigma. In his free time, Nathan enjoys taking afternoon naps, reading The Economist, buying vintage-ish tee’s, and meandering through the Library of Congress. He currently lives in Springfield, MO.

Rose Haug: Coordinator, Ethical Revolution

Rose serves as The C4 Group’s Coordinator for the Ethical Revolution initiative. She and her husband, Mark, who is a youth pastor, have worked with students since 1989 in Illinois, Florida, and began serving in the DC metro area in 2001. She has a passion for student leader development and loves coaching the student worship band at her church. Rose enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Lauren and Amelia; playing and listening to music; encouraging friends and family; taking long motorcycle rides with Mark; and cooking and entertaining. She lives in Urbana, MD.

Jackie Kousma: Administrative Assistant

Jackie serves as The C4 Group’s Administrative Assistant, specifically managing the staff and president’s schedule. She is finishing a B.A. in Youth Development Studies and will soon graduate from North Central University. In her free time, Jackie enjoys rollerblading, shopping, catching up on current events by reading PEOPLE magazine and watching VH1, and trying out as many Rachael Ray recipes as possible. She currently lives in Minneapolis, MN.
