Mentoring has proven to be one of the most successful methods that can develop solid leadership and positive life skills in youth. The C4 Group believes that many organizations working with youth can easily implement mentoring programs within their current structure if given instruction and a means to do so. That is why C4 Mentor has been developed.

As a national initiative working with local organizations to implement mentoring programs, C4 Mentor teaches these organizations:

• how to recruit, screen, and train mentors,
  
• how to find youth to mentor,
  
• and how to fund and manage a mentoring program,
  

while connecting the local entity to a national mentoring movement (C4 Mentor). Additionally, C4 Mentor has developed model strategies that can be implemented in a variety of mentoring settings and tools such as skills testing and curriculum for mentors to use in one-on-one mentoring with youth.
